Okel Tor is acknowledged by English Heritage to be one of the best surviving 19th century tin mines nationally and has recently been added to the list of scheduled ancient monuments. The Count House is the former mine captain’s office and the Smithy was the workshop of the mine where miners’ picks were sharpened. Both cottages are Grade II Listed and situated in an elevated position within approximately 16 acres of natural woodland and lowland heath on the banks of the River Tamar with beautiful views of Devon.
